I believe we each leave a legacy of relationships and achievements behind us. As a great friend and mentor of mine mentioned above, I do believe we all have an opportunity to change the world a little bit. That imperative to touch and change lives and futures remains powerful for me.
I have worked in public, private and voluntary sectors
I am a trained counsellor; I have an MBA from Anglia Ruskin University
I ran a successful and vibrant Baptist Church for 11 years, bucking the national trend and growing from 9 to 200!
I have run a Hospice, a small national charity supporting young people with genetic disorders, a charity running canalboats and a retreat centre for vulnerable young people and adults. I have worked as a consultant with charities supporting young people and old people.
I have worked as a charity trustee, a college governor, a volunteer mentor. I have sat on a strategic mental health group in Essex, a Local Authority grants committee in Central Bedfordshire, chaired implementation groups for social action in London.
I have introduced ., launched and developed new services and provision for vulnerable young people including in Essex, Herts, Beds, Bucks, N London, Birmingham and Leicester.
